About Certis: Leaders dedicated to innovation, excellence and saving your life.

Certis Oncology Solutions was founded in 2016 specifically to save, extend and improve lives by empowering precision, personalized cancer treatment. We are also dedicated to advancing the field of cancer care and adding to the science. But our inspiration and reason for existing—and for our commitment to excellence—is to make a significant, positive difference in people’s lives.

An expert team of people who’ve worked with cancer care leaders.

Located in a Sorrento Valley biomedical campus in San Diego, Certis is directed and advised by a team of cancer experts that includes doctors and other professionals recognized as leaders in cancer care and research. State-of-the-art capabilities in a high-complexity lab.

Our state-of-the-art laboratory is licensed and CLIA-certified to the highest level. Many of the advanced techniques we use—including the ability to use core needle biopsy tumor samples—were innovated in this laboratory and validated in published studies. To date, our experts have performed thousands of orthotopic surgical implantations. We care for the mice to the highest standards in our in-house, state-of-the-art, AAALAC-accredited vivarium. Also, we maintain our own tumor bank to preserve tissue for research and, if there is sufficient tissue, to cryopreserve some of your tumor for later testing, if needed.

Strong value…and no charge for testing that doesn’t occur.

With our orthotopic PDX testing, you get maximum correlation between test tissue and your tumor, and optimal speed, accuracy and reliability of results. With the potential to avoid time and toxicity in ineffective treatment, it’s a great value.

Even better, you only pay $2,500 up front for tumor establishment (growth to appropriate size for testing). This initial investment also includes cryopreservation and storage, if there is sufficient tissue, for both future testing and future qualification for clinical trials (together, a $5,000 to $7,000 value without tumor establishment). What’s more, if our efforts to establish the tumor lines fail and we don’t proceed to testing, you’re charged nothing beyond that up-front amount for establishment, cryopreservation and storage.

Dedicated to advancing cancer treatment—starting with you!

At Certis, we benefit from all the cancer research and experience that led up to today. At the same time, we’re completely committed to helping advance the science going forward. We cryopreserve tumor tissue in our tumor bank and study and analyze our findings to help people with cancer in the future, including those who haven’t yet been born. But our focus is on helping you:

  • spend less time in ineffective treatment
  • have more precious time
  • have a higher quality of life
  • achieve your best chance of remission
